This practice is not due to negligence but is instead a crucial safety measure - in the event of an unexpected encounter with one of these massive predators, the person can quickly seek shelter in a nearby vehicle. Known as the "Polar Bear Capital of the World," Churchill faces unique challenges in coexisting with wildlife, prompting the community to adopt unusual strategies in effort to ensure the safety of people, as well as of wildlife.

I’ve been learning Norwegian with books and Duolingo for the last (almost) year and every time I read “helgen” I instantly think of the exact opposite of what I’m supposed to think of. Practicing Norwegian? Think of Skyrim. Playing Skyrim? Why is this town named “the weekend”? I can’t win. The wrong one is always the first to come to mind

It’s election season again which means I’m surrounded by leftists telling me they don’t vote because it doesn’t “do enough”, and they’d prefer to just do praxis like okay? Do both?? This is not a dichotomy. We live in a vote-by-mail state, there is nothing stopping you from taking the ten minutes to register for your new address, get a ballot, vote for the props to raise minimum wage and protect tenants from unfair rent increases and eviction, and drop it at one of the easily-locatable ballot boxes in the city. It’s an hour out of your day. Do you also not wipe your ass because it doesn’t get it “clean enough”

wild how addicted i am to nuzlocking now lol i expect this period will abruptly end at some point in the future but i was like "lemme just finish inclement emerald so I can drop this fixation and do other things" ... then promptly started renegade platinum instead of doin anything else.

sidenote after radical red (and to a lesser extent, inclement emerald), all other games feel like torture for nuzlocking. it's absurd how much time proper level grinding takes without infinite rare candies/auto cap function. like there are tons of other great QOL features i got spoiled by in those roms (especially radred) and I know renegade platinum is a good bit older so it makes sense that it's different. but i'm like i surely hope everyone who makes romhacks now just makes at least an optional setting for infinite candies and infinite repels at the bare minimum. those features alone make the game feel so much better.
